Information about
Inspire Classes
Lesson Duration:
All classes run for 45 minutes
Lesson Cost:
All classes are £4 per session
We offer a discount for siblings
attending Inspire Dance Classes - 2 Siblings £7, 3 Siblings £10
Disco Freestyle:
This class consists of lots of fun routines to your favourite pop music. We
structure the classes depending on the age and ability of the children so all
students have an enjoyable time. For our younger students we concentrate on the
basics of dance while having fun learning different steps and routines. For our
older students the pace increases with faster music and more complex
choreography. We work on flexibility, stamina and harder techniques of dance. We
cater for all abilities from beginner up to intermediate standard so all
students feel the benefit of our classes.
Street Dance:
This style of dance has become
extremely popular over the last few years and with more of it being shown on TV
and in the media. We dance to all the latest Hip Hop and Street Dance tracks and
you will learn different styles of street dance to different types of music We
run street dance classes for beginners where we start with the basics of street
dance, learning the fundamental steps and then moving on to learning routines.
For our intermediate Street Classes we teach new and exciting steps which we use
in routines which tend to be much more complex in choreography and a faster
paced class. For all our street classes we adjust the class to suit to age and
ability of the students we are teaching so all students have a good grounding of
street dance while at the same time having fun!
Beginner:
Our Beginner classes are suitable
for those children who have never danced before or who have very little dance
training in the lessons we teach. Your child might have experience in ballet or
tap for example but would suit starting in one of our beginner classes to begin
with. Our beginner classes are structured to learning the basics of dance and
simple yet interesting routines which everyone can dance and enjoy. The basis of
these classes are to have fun and enjoy yourselves yet in a fun environment!
Improver/Intermediate:
For these classes we ask that you
have a good grounding on the dance styles before attending these classes. By
either having previous dance experience or starting in one of our beginner
classes first and then moving into our intermediate sessions. These classes are
faster paced and have more complex choreographing. We ask that you have a
minimum of 1 years dance experience to join these classes.
Rules/Regulations:
Inspire Dance School classes are on
a pay weekly basis. Some of our classes are currently full and we have a waiting
list for these. If you would like your child to be put on the waiting list then
please contact us directly
:info@inspiredance.co.uk. We ask that because we run pay weekly that if your
child is absent for 3 weeks consecutively, their name will be removed from our
registers unless you have informed us of their absence. This is so we can
accommodate children on the waiting list if you no longer want your space.
Show:
Inspire Dance School run an annual show. This is a fantastic opportunity for all
children to take part in a performance in front of friends and family. We offer
the chance to be in the show to ALL students as there is no audition process or
picking out of children. We include every child for the show and its a great
chance for them to show what they have been learning in classes. Each year we
ask for a contribution towards the hire of show outfits. This ensures all
children have costumes and in most cases we can have them all looking the same.
The show is usually held in April/May time and is open to all parents and family
who want to come and watch.
Medal Exam:
We hold a medal examination twice a
year where the children can demonstrate their skills in front of an external
examiner to receive certificates and awards. They are a great way for the
children to gain confidence in their dancing and work towards their medals. They
move up a grade each time they have completed an exam and we hold a presentation
day for the children to receive their awards. We hold medal exams in the summer
and winter of each year.
If you would like any further
information on the classes we run or to put your child on our waiting lists
